You’re a senior in high school and you just received the wonderful news that you were accepted in the university you applied to. Congratulations! You have just found the door to a brighter future! However, college education is not a guarantee that you will be earning a whopping salary upon graduation. In fact, many new college graduates have trouble finding their first full-time jobs, and their entry-level salaries aren’t really that impressive either. College is, however, a new stepping stone towards your future–the next big step you will take into maturity. So enjoy being a senior now, because you might find yourself in an entirely different environment next year.

Independence: One Word You Should be Prepared For

Independence is what you fell down on your knees for. You’ve pleaded, shed crocodile tears, and enumerated all the reasons to your parents on why you should be given the freedom and independence you deserve. Breaking free from the cage of parental guidance is what you have been targeting right from the very start. You feel that you can now be in charge—be the driver of your life, be the captain of the ship, be the pilot of the plane—you know the drift.

Well, voila! Your parents heard your cry and had witnessed your tantrums. They were sick of it, thus, granting you your most sought after thing in life—independence. What a sweet, sweet word it was for you.

Talk isn’t so cheap

When you were a little baby, you didn’t know how to communicate well with people. Your form of communication was either to point, cry, or laugh. As you grew up, you began to use body language as well as verbal sounds to communicate.

As you got even older, you learned to use props and pictures to communicate, such as how people use pictures in presentations, use objects to describe an event, etc.

As you move on in life, you learn to communicate more.

Why?

Because communication is what forms bonds between people. Good communication is the key to a good relationship.

Language of Roses

It’s hard to believe that something as simple as a rose can mean so many different things, but as it is an undeniable truth, it doesn’t hurt to be informed of it. Although flower language has declined in importance since the end of the Victorian Era, it can still be seen today on occasions such as wedding ceremonies or Valentine’s Day. Different roses still represent different things, and their meanings are just as relevant today as they once were. For example, giving a yellow rose to your spouse on your 20th Anniversary probably won’t be received very well.

So, what do we need to know when selecting roses? Firstly, let us take a look at the meanings of various colours. Some of these may of course vary between cultures, but most are universal symbols.

NO: Avoid baggy pants, they aren’t good for accentuating your figure.

YES: Do you have a lot of trouble trying to hide your long legs? Make the best out of your long legs and try some straight-legged jeans. They accentuate your beautiful and elegant legs and give the illusion of a curvy butt. If you prefer skirts, try one that is knee-length. They emphasize and balance your slender legs perfectly.
